Hooked On Fishing Club Malta Angler Doubles League 2016 Registration
This year’s season kicked off with the first Leg of the Hooked On Fishing Angler Doubles League. This was held in Marsascala near the ex ‘Jerma Palace Hotel’. This League consists of 38 anglers forming 19 teams which is a very encouraging number.
As usual everyone started meeting up at around 05:30 were a couple of committee members started marking the pegs. In the meantime all the members gathered as usual talking about what they all are passionate about which was all about fishing & sharing information on the venue as this was the first time the Club has fished this area. As soon as everyone was present it was time to commence with the draw of the pegs assigned to the teams. It was also time to draw the Peg that would of been with the possibility of winning the ‘H.O.F.C Jackpot’ the number drawn was 11 which if the team that were on this peg won the match on the day they could of won no less than €120.

On the day we started by having the members come in & fill out the registration forms for the Doubles League , there was a very good attendance with the final number of applicants was of 38 Anglers that formed 19 Teams. This is again very encouraging figure to kick off the third year of our Club, the family keeps getting bigger.

31/01/2016 1st Leg Primary Venue (Marsascala Jerma) with the alternative of (Birzebbugia)
21/02/2016 2nd Leg Primary Venue (Mellieha Santa Marija Estate) with the alternative of (Xemxija Fekruna)
28/02/2016 3rd Leg Primary Venue (Senglea Boilers Wharf) with the alternative of (Sliema 1)
20/03/2016 4th Leg Primary Venue (Manuel Island) with the alternative of (Sliema 2)
17/04/2016 5th Leg Primary Venue (Foss) with the alternative of (Pixkerija)
A draw took place once all the registrations where finalised to select the Marshall’s for all the Doubles Matches
