HOFC Tubertini R18 Doubles League 2019

This morning it was the second day of the HOFC Tubertini R18 Doubles League 2019. After the second match was cancelled due to bad weather it was today's turn for the third match. It was scheduled to be in Valletta ditch but due to high waves in the area it made it unsuitable for a safe match so it was shifted to a near alternative place in Valletta Pixkerija. Weather perfectly fine with a soft breeze from our backs the early rays of light clearly showed it was going to be a perfect day in March.

With 1 section of 5 and the other of 6 all pegs were set and fish started accumulating in keep nets. Section A composed of 6 teams was won by Lawrence Pulis and Sheldon Bouvett, which puts them in the leading top position after 2 matches. The other section was won by Peter Paul Azzopardi and Adrian Nelson which also won the overall top position on the day. Well-earned points also in second overall for Jonathan Farrugia and EtienneBugeja which started very good with a 5 points in the section and second overall, while in the other section Jake Seychell and JeanClaude Tonna also kept on the pace with a safe 3 points which puts the young anglers in a third place overall on weight in the table.

Section win also for Noel Baldacchino and Matthew Dimech, while Martin Pace and Micheal Godfrey kept on the pace by grabbing a 3 points in their section which puts them in 4th place just some weight less than their nearest rivals in third position. Raffle winners Peter Paul Azzopardi & Sheldon Bouvett kindly sponsored by Tubertini. Goes without saying a big well done to all that took part today for the great sportsmanship and the marshals for the snack and marshaling the match to ensure everything running smoothly.
