**Match Fishing Report - Hooked on Fishing Malta Doubles Match 3

Slight winds NW and sea currents high

8 Teams divided in 2 sections, and 2 teams marshalling.

The match fishing event was held at Boilers Wharf in Senglea. The anglers managed to showcase some impressive skills, making the competition intense and exciting. Mostly breams were caught some of which very nice and big in size.

The standout catch of the day was some nice big breams caught on 3 different pegs. Peter Paul Azzopardi, Marcus Sammut and Paul Celeste all managed nice sargi weighing over 500gms

Most anglers opted for bottom fishing using different lenghts on running ledgers and paternoster rigs. Also maggots on feeder was an effective method for the bigger ones.

1st overall team Prosargos Fires of Adrian Nelson and Paul Celeste managing an impressive total catch of 3.8kgs mostly breams.

- Second overall Cast Away of Peter Paul Azzopardi and Antoine Portelli with 1.6kgs

- In third place a big effort from Larson Bonnici for his team Terrur fishing on his own and landing 1.475kgs

- Section wins Sammut Siblings of Nathalie and Marcus Sammut and White Sharks of Ninu Zahra and Joe Buttigieg.

Also today the biggest fish was registered by Peter Paul Azzopardi a very nice sargu of 780gr.
