Team Storbju Wahdu Lawrence & Brady win 5th Doubles League 2023 Match

The Fifth and Final match of the Hooked On Fishing Club Malta Giovanni's Doubles League was held at Qawra , Initially it was planned for Fra Ben Area but due to winds and sea state was still rough decided to shift further in a safer area.

We started preparing for the competition at 5:30 amand started at 6:30 am. Match started slow with some bottom fish bites and later some parrot fish and small mullet on certain pegs.

It was a pleasure through out the Competition and the rest of the league to see so sportsmanship shown. Today was the final match of which the top 3 placings could of been any out of 5 teams that were leading the table.

Winners of this match were the Team Storbju Wahdu Lawrence Pulis & Brady Sammut with a nice weight of 2,880 kgs considering the conditions as not too many areas were getting bites followed by Team Sammut Siblings Nathalie Sammut & Marcus Sammut with a catch of 1.535kgs and in 3rd Place Team The Spiteri's Carmel Spiteri & Alexander Spiteri at 1.495 kgs
