Top section was won by Nelson and Paul Celeste Team Prosargos with nearly 4.5kgs

Today was the second match of the Doubles League organised by Hooked on Fishing Club. Venue chosen was Marsaskala Zonqor. Weather was perfect for such a venue with a mild swell coming in providing the perfect grounds for luring in small mullets.

Match started 7am sharp with the teams divided in two sections. Top section was won by Nelson and Paul Celeste Team Prosargos with nearly 4.5kgs of fish mostly small mullets and a couple of nice sized parrot fish. The second section was won by team Castaway of Peter Paul Azzopardi and Antoine Portelli with 1.85kgs of bottom fish.

Second overall on the day were team Anglers United composed of Justin Spiteri and Isaac Psaila.

In third place Terrur ta Krest of Jean Claude Tonna and Larson Bonnici with just over 2kgs of fish. Next match will see a complete change as the venue will be inside the port and different techniques and baits will be used as opposed to open waters.

The overall standings after the second match see Prosargos Fires with maximum twelve points, team Anglers United on eleven points and team Storbju Wahdu of Lawrence Pulis and Brady Sammut in third overall on eight points.

Pulis and Brady also grabbed a section win in todays match.
